Dreams do come true… once you stop being a “Material Girl”, and start being a “Spiritual Guy”. Having the chance to talk to my childhood idol and longtime spiritual inspiration, Madonna at the Venice Film Festival…

My question appears around 6.38… and the answer goes on, and on!

…and my question is already history! British paper, The Sun reveals her answer to my question: “Did your strong spiritual foundation help you to stay calm at the darkest hours?” The Queen of Pop held court during a post-screening news conference where she explained how she drew on her ‘strong spiritual foundation,’ to find time to work on the film project, including the writing the screenplay – a process that took three years. “Making films is really hard in the first place. You have to believe in your subject matter and be passionate about it because there will be challenges along the way. You have to be prepared like the captain of a ship, no matter what happens you have got to keep going. So your spiritual foundation has to be strong.”

After the incredible experience I had a few more days in the Italian city of love. Wondering around the old city I felt like I’m one of the weird characters from Woody Allen’s infamous neo-musical, Everyone Says I Love You, and enjoying the view from my fancy little hotel on the corner of a canal i kept pinching myself if this is only a dream. Well if it is, I still didn’t wake up yet. I’ll be grateful forever for my Kabbalah teachers for pushing me, and for making it sure that I’m always following my dreams. And – from a “material girl” point of view, I’ll always be grateful for this amazing website, where I found my “home in Venice”, this perfect little castello.

My article will premier in the December issue of the Hungarian Elle magazine. More great hotel deals at www.szallodak.hu.

Become part of the wave of change and check out Yehuda Berg, Madonna’s and Demi Moore’s spiritual guru in Hungary, joining him on his “The Agent of Change” world tour. It’s so simple: I’ll host, you’ll come…

Kabbalah isn’t what most people think it is. It isn’t a Jewish thing. It isn’t a Madonna thing. It isn’t a self-help thing. It’s not a religion, and in truth, it’s not even spirituality. Kabbalah is a 2000-year-old wisdom for change that over a million people around the world are learning. It is the same wisdom that was once taught and understood only by thought leaders throughout history, including Plato, Sir Isaac Newton, and Albert Einstein, all of whom used it to uncover the fundamental nature of this world—ahead of their time. Today, because of modern technology the wisdom of Kabbalah is available to anyone who wants to learn.

A bestselling author and luminary authority on Kabbalah, Yehuda Berg is part of a long line of Kabbalistic masters, and the son of Rav and Karen Berg. Recognized as “the world’s leading authority on the Kabbalah movement” by Newsweek, the magazine named him as one of the top five rabbis in the U.S. in 2007. In 2009, GQ magazine’s The Gentlemen’s Fund honored him for being an Agent of Change in the field of Education. Yehuda has authored more than 30 books on topics ranging from self-empowerment and depression to sex and the Bible. His bestsellers are “The Power of Kabbalah” and “The 72 Names of God”, which have been translated into 20 and 14 languages respectively. His daily Tune-ups are sent to more than 200,000 fans, and he contributes regularly to Huffington Post. Yehuda speaks internationally and teaches thousands of people from all walks of life. He believes in the power of human consciousness and personal transformation, and utilizes Kabbalah as a tool for change.

Each and every one of us has a Divine spark of potential inside, a purpose to fulfill in this lifetime. If we are alive, we are here on earth for a reason and we are capable of more. The reason our lives are filled with confusion, uncertainty and fear is because we are not on the path towards achieving our potential. But learning the wisdom of Kabbalah rouses us from our sleep, awakening us to our greater potential, activating our inner compass, and pointing us in the direction of what we came here to do—to shift our mindset and awaken consciousness on a personal level so that we can achieve lasting global change. This is the purpose of studying Kabbalah… and that is why you can’t miss this opportunity to meet Yehuda in Hungary, on the 19th of May, 6 pm sharp, at the Alexandra Bookstore, Andrassy avenue, Budapest. To register for the event, please click here.

As I reported it previously, not so long tome ago I hosted a Nooka designer exhibition in Budapest, followed by a kick-as party by Larry Tee. Now I discovered that the super cool Nooka creator, Matthew Waldman was kind enough to include me in his blog. Let’s se what an ultimate new yorker has to say about Hungary, Budapest… and me. Thanx Matthew!

“budapest is a city i have always wanted to visit – rich history, their language is an isolate on the european continent [it's an altaic language more closely related to finnish, mongolian, japanese and korean than to any other groups], they have a culture of spending long afternoons in thermal baths, and the danube is a famous river. i was not disappointed!

my reason for coming was the hungarian custom nookanooka show organized by csap viktor, our man on the ground in budapest. the show featured 35 local artists, and i was blown-away by the enthusiasm and craft the artists applied to the competition. i will update the nookanooka pages on our website as soon i get the official photographs and artists bios from csap. larry tee was dj at the after party, and it was great catching up with him [i haven't seen larry since he moved to london]. i got to become friends with the madonna of hungary, kristóf steiner who splits his time between budapest and tel aviv and was our emcee for the evening. really great guy!

the only unfortunate thing was some planning issues, mainly the may day holiday weekend. like NYC on labor day, more than half of the city was out-of-town! hopefully the show will travel within buda or pest to continue the buzz when the city is back to full-tilt! i’ll keep you posted.

so, let me end by saying, if you haven’t thought of it, visit budapest! it’s affordable, extremely bicycle friendly [i rented a bike for 2 days and it was AMAZING] and full of things to do. as for best thermal, i recommend széchenyi. gallért is more famous [matthew barney's cremaster cycle was partly filmed there] but not as nice overall [poorly signed, only some of the staff are helpful]. széchenyi is in a beautiful park with an amusement part and museums, so you can kill a whole day there!”

I’m sure that you, like me, have been heartbroken by the images coming out of Haiti since the devastating earthquake shook the impoverished nation on Tuesday. Madonna felt the same way – that’s why she is calling for our help. Here is the letter what I received a few minutes ago…

The time is now!

Dear Kristóf,

My prayers are with the people of Haiti. I can’t imagine the terrible pain and suffering they are experiencing. Sadly, the depths of the tragedy are just becoming known and the need for our support grows more urgent with every passing moment. I have given a donation of $250,000 to assist Haiti’s earthquake victims through Partners in Health, one of Haiti’s leading health care providers. I urge all of my friends and fans around the world to join me collectively to match my contribution or give in any way you can.

Many of you will remember Dr. Paul Farmer, a founding director of Partners in Health, from my film, “I Am Because We Are.” Paul is a medical anthropologist and a physician who has dedicated his life to treating some of the world’s poorest populations. Paul has been working alongside Haitians for decades, empowering them to improve their own communities. His dedication to Haiti and his transformative work there has inspired my own work in Malawi.

I realize I’ve asked for your help before. But when the suffering of tens of thousands of people comes into our homes and touches us the way the situation in Haiti has, I believe we are called to act. Right now, Partners in Health is rushing to provide medical supplies and additional staff to the 120 doctors and hundred of nurses they already have on the ground in Haiti. Supplies are quickly running out. I’m inspired by Partners in Health, and I whole-heartedly support their work. Please join me in supporting their relief efforts, which are needed more now than ever before. Please donate to Partners in Health now: http://www.raisingmalawi.org/partnersinhealth

We cannot sit idly by and watch the suffering of so many. We must act now.

Thank you for your support,

Madonna

Hungary’s jucy celebrity magazine, HOT! recently published a two page article on my Kabbalah studies. If you’re interested in the technology of soul what changed my way of thinking, talking and living, go for it! I do know secret now: the main importance is not in fame on wealth, but what I do with it.

That’s our secret… and yours as well…

The magazine says: Kristóf Steiner left a glamorous life in the spotlight, when he moved to Tel Aviv half a year ago with Matan, his loved one. Now he is sharing with the Hot! magazine readers what changed in his life. „My dad and mum were really spiritual people and they had kabbalah books back in the 80’s, when no one knew about this cosmic wisdom in Hungary. For me, since I was a kid, the main thing was getting famous, to be on tv, go to VIP parties and be in movies. After I got all these, I realized how empty is the channel between me and the people who are looking at me: I don’t give anything for the fame what I got.”

While Kristóf was dealing with being a celebrity – what he always wanted – he lost his own, real personality: he stopped taking care of people and causes what he did before and he developed a serious eating disorder.

„I realized that being famous is a responsibility. I have to do and say things what has meaning and can guide others. When I came to Israel, I already knew I am going to visit the Kabbalah Centre, since I already finished most books which has been published in Hungary, and I found it very helpful and inspirational. When I met my instructor, David Zakin, I knew this the right way to the light.”

Kristof says being spiritual and finding God in himself does not mean he won’t go out or party again: he loves to have fun, but as he says, our material interests are in a certain 1 percent of our true nature, all the rest, what brings us closer to be filled up with satisfaction is in the 99 percent.

„My teacher called me a few times while I was in Hungary for 2 weeks, and if I get destructed he is giving me advices what meditation should I do or which book should I read and I truly trust him.” Says Kristóf, and he thinks, no one should be sarcastic about people looking for spiritual paths. „I know some people will say I’m following a fashion line by Madonna or Demi Moore, but I know how serious I am about becoming a better person, who can share the light what he experiences. Reacting on the sarcasm is never a wise thing. It’s time for us to do actions, not re-actions.”

I’m happy and grateful for my new mission what I got from the Light: building and editing the kabbalah.com’s Hungarian website. If you thought that it’s all about a red bracelet and a bottle of water, visit us on the other side of the curtain. Join our Facebook group and if you are in Tel Aviv, here is a hint… there is a new English language class starting really soon. “I think you wanna come over…”

I don’t consider myself a really old person at the age of 27, but I must say the pressure from the plastic-fantastic media is slowly taking us there to feel like we’re fare over our best times at the age of 20. The funny thing is that we didn’t even do anything before that age: we just enjoyed watching stupid television series and went for sleepover parties. If we were studying, we mostly learned about things what we almost never used after the exams and we were interested in the new hairstyle of our favorite celebrities.

Özge is such a spiritual kid!

The most things what we learn are coming to us after the ages when we are so full of energies to remember every unimportant details, when we are much less opened to new things in life and – sad but true – our brain activities are just simply nut as fresh as they were once. We learn spirituality, languages, we try to remember how to take good care of ourselves and meanwhile we think: „Oh, God, why didn’t I start this at the age of 7?” The answer is very simple: we didn’t now where to start and our parents were more busy about how to make sure that our life as grown ups will be successful, we will be wealthy and we can give the same to our children.

Times have changed and we want to give fare more than this to our children. Thank Karen Berg, co-founder of the Kabbalah Center, we can teach our little ones that no house can be built from the roof. According to Kabbalah, our desire is one thing, and that is the spiritual light. No matter what are our tools to get it: a huge meal at the middle of the night, what we can’t resist, a tongue-in gossip about a college of ours to get a new job, or just a pair of very new – and very expensive – Manolo Blahnik, we all look for our essence of God. We just don’t know the way, how to get it.

Imagine that your children wouldn’t have to repeat your mistakes. Imagine that your little girl growing up would know that every single action has it’s consequences and every single word has it’s effect. That is what Spirituality for Kids, a worldwide program by teachers and supporters offers you, without pushing a child into a religion, what they just can’t adopt at this young age. Instead of repeating – God forbid –meaningles prayers at the Sunday Church, these kids can connect to the inner light and get to know the opponent in themselves. Above writing, and counting they get other skills, they get the blueprint of life, for growing up – what we never had. We had to fight our demons, beasts and monsters and we had so many questions what we are still trying to find answers for. Can you imagine that your own child – being 20 years younger than you are – would be able to answer your questions?

By reading Madonna’s English Roses – a Kabbalistic wisdom inspired book series –instead of playing with the Nintendo all day long, killing aliens, our children can become the light in our lives as well. Taking a child to be a part of this spiritual journey is the greatest gift what we can give – and the greatest benefit what we can get. Who ever saw a child crying in a supermarket, looking for his mama knows exactly, what does it mean to be lost. No one wants his baby to face the feeling of not finding the way to the source. This is why, I know, that when I’ll have the chance to experience the amazing gift of having a baby, I’ll raise up my child with giving the most beautiful gift what anyone can get: spirituality. For kids, grownups, elderly… maybe even doggies.
